Is it really necessary to go for a branding of your business or have a brand identity, no matter how small or big your business is? What is corporate brand identity and how does it affect a business firm? Here are the things you need to know or focus on when considering a corporate brand identity:
The first is The Vision Statement - what are the most important products or services you want to offer, what are the products or services you will never offer, what is unique about your brand and what will customers or clients say about your brand; and finally where do you think your business will be in the next five years?

The second point to consider will be The Mission Statement - what is/are the need/needs that your business want to address, a problem to solve, how will the company address or solve the needs or problems, what guiding principles and practices define your business approach; and why should customers buy from you or clients use your services?

The third is The Personality - Are you cheerful and playful, are you serious and all about business only, are you down-to-earth?

The fourth is The Position or Proposition - The value proposition or positioning of your business hings on the answers to these questions - which market segment will your product or service serve, what is the promise of your brand, to whom are you speaking or addressing; and why is/will your product or service be different from those of the competition?

And lastly, The Essence of your business - This is a very crucial one of our life, especially with the power of the internet and social media. Check these questions - what emotion does your clients or customers experience when they encounter your product or service, if your brand was a person, who would you describe its personality?
