Creativity, Innovation and Solutions: Part Two.

It is true that business creativity and innovation is very important topic in strategic management and for business organizations and entrepreneurs, however, there are some loopholes that are found in this, often referred to as the dark side of creativity. Creativity is often related to dishonesty, for instance, a person who is very creative and has been tasked with figuring out how best an organization can reduce its taxes and costs, will be more creative in identifying steps to do misreporting and justifying such unethical behavior, because, they are abler to detect and define what is hidden from others. (Carson, Peterson, & Higgins, 2003).
Secondly, too often that businesses or business owners are made to depend on already existing, workable and easily doable business models that creativity and innovation have brought into the business environment. This on the long will stall the possibilities of breaking fallow or newer grounds or allowing younger creative thinkers to come to limelight, especially when the precedence set seems insurmountable and highly valued and used.

There are no business models that are out rightly bad because at a time, such models were working, as such business models do share similar attributes, often referred to as patterns. These patterns are unbundling, the long tail, the multi-sided platforms, the free models, and the open models. (Osterwalder and Pigneur, 2010)
It is therefore imperative for businesses today, to interpret or reinterpret their strategy through the lens of business model, understand the newest trends of business model design and be able to implement and manage such business models thus created. This is because it is a process that helps in new product and service development, expansion and growth possibilities, and how best to respond to various economic and environmental changes and challenges over time.

 Implementation and Management:

To design and develop an effective and efficient business model, there are four main areas of the business environment that must be considered and such include: key trends, market forces, macro-economic forces and industry forces. In other to have a competitive advantage considering these four aspects of the business environment, businesses and their business models should develop strategic plans focusing on product innovation, customers' relationship management and infrastructure management. In the S.W.O.T analysis of the business model, operation and implementation of Airbnb, one could see that there are challenging weaknesses and also strengths in these areas as mentioned in cases of law suits, unsatisfied lodgers, cases with hosts, to mention but a few.
