The Game of Unity in Diversity: Soccer or Football.

The concept of unity in diversity is that which focus on unity without uniformity and diversity without divisiness. Its main focus is a more complex unity that is based on an understanding with complete acceptance of all, which is different from unity that is based on a mere tolerance of physical, cultural, social, religious, political, ideological and psychological differences.

As we begin new seasons of most of the soccer or football leagues across the world, there is no better time than now to seek unity instead of division that is spreading through the world political landscape in recent times. Truly, there is something about the game of soccer that is both universal and uniting in a way that something else has ever done, more effectively. As Franz Beckenbauer, rightly said: "Football is one of the best means of communication - it is impartial, not political and universal. Football unites people around the world everyday. Young or old, players or fans, rich or poor. The game makes everyone equal, stirs imaginations, makes people happy and makes them sad, all the same"
Despite all differences between players and fans, countries or leagues, there is this one thing that no one can dispute: Football or soccer brings budding and bounding like no other. When we watch the games of teams and clubs we support, we put aside all of our differences in race, religion, people and places, and with one heart we cheer up those we have chosen to support, regardless. From across the world, football has often brought warring factions together, kick people into the streets for protests, bridge the gap between the elites and the masses, and often offer refreshment to many troubled hearts.
